Levi Manga: Development

Before starting the manga, Suruga’s editor-in-chief suggested she go to the Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel to get a better sense of the Underground where Levi and the others live at the start of the story. Suruga was able to visualise the size of an 18-meter tall Titan for the first time while there 162.

Who is Levi Ackerman?

Levi Ackerman is a major character in both the manga and anime who was born underground and now lives in Wall Rose. He is often referred to as Captain Levi or even Humanity’s Strongest Soldier and has the highest titan kill count in the entire series, presumably 58 on screen kills and 89 or even more in total. He is the only child of Kuchel Ackerman, who died as a result of an illness. As a result, he was taken in by an unknown man named Kenney, or so he thought. During Kenny’s death, it was revealed that he was Levi Ackerman’s uncle.
